Bulldogs fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 6-0 loss to Franklin County on Wednesday. Franklin County scored on a triple by Bree Bischoff in the first inning, a single by Kloe Bolos in the first inning, a single by Anne Becker in the first inning, and a walk by Bolos in the second inning.
The Bulldogs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Franklin County, giving up six runs.
Franklin County got things moving in the first inning. Bischoff tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
A double by Jocie Collins in the third inning was a positive for Bulldogs.
Michaela Ferman was credited with the victory for Franklin County. The hurler allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 16.
Haylee Parker took the loss for Bulldogs. The righty went one inning, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out one.
Collins, Bri Shepherd, and Parker each collected one hit to lead Bulldogs.
Maci Lake went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Franklin County in hits. Franklin County didn’t commit a single error in the field. Becker had the most chances in the field with 16.
