Bulldogs watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 18-0 loss to Greenfield-Central on Tuesday. Greenfield-Central scored on a home run by Burelison, an error, an error, a single by Wineinger, a sacrifice fly by Roberts, an error, a single by Ewald, and a walk by Stewart in the first inning.
The Bulldogs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Greenfield-Central, giving up 18 runs.
Greenfield-Central opened up scoring in the first inning, when Burelison homered on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.
Burelison took the win for Greenfield-Central. The fireballer lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five. Holden threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Harmony Owens took the loss for Bulldogs. The righthander surrendered 17 runs on 12 hits over two and two-thirds innings.
Greenfield-Central smacked three home runs on the day. Burelison put one out in the first and third innings. Stewart went deep in the third inning.
